Stage 4
Moderated as a plural conversation, this session reflects on housing and care as central components of the right to the city, grounded in practices and experiences from the center as well from the periphery of capitalism.
It examines how urban policies, social infrastructures, and spatial strategies had been colonized by finance, and what practices and struggles are emerging to address inequality and collective care, framing housing as a social and political responsibility rather than a commodity.
The discussion advances an ethics of urban coexistence that draws on perspectives to link spatial justice, care practices, and democratic urban governance.
