Ritual and the Choreography of Space

In dialogue, Matilde Cassani, Tatiana Bilbao Estudio, and filmmakers Bêka & Lemoine trace how rituals choreograph space. From Cassani’s research on “sacred spaces in profane buildings,” where worship inhabits ordinary urban interiors, to Bilbao’s community-led making of spaces for living, to Bêka & Lemoine’s films that follow routines as architecture-in-use, the session asks how design can attune itself to gestures, thresholds, and collective rhythms.
