Langarita Navarro
Langarita Navarro is an architecture office founded by María Langarita and Víctor Navarro in Madrid. Since 2005, they have developed projects, research, and led teams specializing in architecture and urban design, exploring the intersection of theory, professional practice, and construction. Their work has received international recognition, including a Special Mention for Emerging Architect at the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe, and the ar+d Award for Emerging Architecture, as well as national awards such as the Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennale, the COAM Award, and the FAD Architecture Award.
The office’s ongoing theoretical research, “Busto y Pellejo, an understanding of the world according to the consistency of matter”, has shown preliminary results at the Casa de España in Panama, the Shenzhen Architecture and Urbanism Biennale, and Castillos y Bodegones, a series of encounters between architecture and art.
Langarita Navarro’s work has been selected for numerous exhibitions, including the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Ibero-American Architecture and Urbanism Biennale, and the Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennale, and has also been shown at the Architekturzentrum Wien and the Royal Institute of British Architects. Part of their work is included in the permanent collection of the Centre Pompidou.
Their projects have been widely published, including a monographic issue in 2G magazine, consolidating their trajectory in research, design, and international professional practice.
