Unfinished Territories: Reassembling Interdependence
Language: English
Simultaneous Translation: No
This panel examines fragmented and unfinished urban conditions as sites where interdependence becomes both visible and contested.
Through readings of divided metropolitan territories, peripheral and in-between zones, community narratives from self-built neighborhoods, and rural villages emptied by structural change, the projects focus on spaces shaped by absence, transition, and inequality. Rather than treating fragmentation as failure, they reveal how collective practices, local voices, and spatial negotiation can recompose social and territorial relations, positioning architecture as a mediator in processes of repair, continuity, and shared futures.
