This publication, developed within the UIA Architecture for All Work Programme, brings together contributions from eight countries in the Americas, as well as Australia, the Philippines, and Morocco. It systematizes comparative evidence on natural hazards and climate change, as well as on response and recovery processes, through the lens of inclusive urban design and planning.

Adopting an applied research approach, the publication proposes the operational integration of resilience across the phases of prevention, emergency response, and reconstruction, articulating spatial, regulatory, and socio – community dimensions.

It further positions universal accessibility as a fundamental condition for protection and equity, particularly for persons with disabilities, older adults, and other groups in vulnerable situations.”
