Flores & Prats is an architecture studio based in Barcelona, founded in 1998 by Eva Prats and Ricardo Flores. The practice is dedicated to the confrontation of theory and academic practice with design and construction activity. Working throughout Europe, the studio has developed projects in adaptive reuse, social housing, and urban public spaces, often incorporating processes of participation with local communities.

The studio has received several national and international awards, including the Grand Award in Architecture of the Royal Academy of Arts of London, the City of Barcelona Award, the City of Palma Award, the AD Architects of the Year Award, and the AR New into Old Award (2019). Flores & Prats has also been nominated on several occasions for the Mies van der Rohe Award and has participated in the last five editions of La Biennale di Venezia, including the 2023 exhibition Emotional Heritage at Le Corderie dell’Arsenale.

Alongside professional practice, Eva Prats and Ricardo Flores are active in teaching. Both are Professors of Design Studio at the School of Architecture of Barcelona. Eva Prats is Full Professor at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio, and Ricardo Flores is Guest Professor at Columbia University in New York.

Publications on the studio’s work include Thought by Hand. The Architecture of Flores & Prats, the first issue of Archives Journal of Architecture, Sala Beckett / International Drama Centre, and Flores & Prats. Drawing without Erasing and Other Essays.
