This session presents the process and outcomes of the “Inclusive by Design” workshop, an international collaborative experience involving students from seven architecture schools, faculty members, and Architecture for All (AfA) specialists.
The workshop explored inclusive design through teamwork, research and iterative feedback, focusing on the application of Universal Design principles in real contexts. The session will highlight pedagogical strategies, student proposals and key learnings, emphasizing the value of global collaboration and interdisciplinary exchange. It aims to demonstrate how inclusive design can be effectively integrated into architectural education, fostering more socially responsive and human – centred design approaches.
