The Expert Group Meeting is an invited event where the UIA Public Spaces WP will consolidate its plans with international strategic partners and the UIA leadership.
Potential topics of discussion include: The future of public space as a vehicle for democratization of the city; a proposal for Global Public Space Awards that expands its consideration to recognize different kinds of public spaces that embrace differences, are more inclusive to marginalized groups; collaborations to consolidate the Global Public Space Network; form network to expand UN-Habitat’s Public Space Charter and Global Toolkit to strengthen design perspectives for SDG 11.7.
