Bangkok Tokyo Architecture (BTA) is an architectural studio founded in 2017 by Wtanya Chanvitan and Takahiro Kume. The studio is fascinated by open-ended structures and the thoughtful assembly of everyday elements, blurring the lines between the ordinary and the exceptional. Their practice explores ways to liberate architecture from the exclusive domain of experts, seeking potential models of continuity and alternative modes of making.
BTA has been recognized internationally, including Highly Commended at The Architectural Review Emerging Awards (2023), Winner of the Rice University Spotlight Award (2024), and Finalist for the Lisbon Triennale Millennium bcp Début Award (2025). Wtanya Chanvitan and Takahiro Kume contribute to architecture as educators and practitioners across diverse cultural and institutional contexts.
