Kosmos
KOSMOS Architects is an experimental architectural practice collaborating virtually across borders. Their work spans urban, architectural, and object design, as well as research and installations, addressing environmental and social challenges. Through experimentation with materials and construction techniques, the studio explores spatial and visual possibilities at the intersection of material and immaterial realms. Drawing on expertise across diverse contexts, scales, and academic practice, KOSMOS develops innovative approaches to enhancing the built environment in cross-disciplinary fields.
The partners of KOSMOS are active in research and teaching, leading studios at HEAD Genève and TU Wien, and contributing to Porto Academy, ETSAM, AA Visiting School, ETSAB, and Chulalongkorn University INDA.
The practice has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Prix de Genève for Best Experimental Architecture, nominations for the Swiss Art and Design Awards, selection as “Best New Practice” by ArchDaily, and inclusion among the “New European Generation” by Architecture d’Aujourd’hui. Their projects have won prizes in international competitions, including Europan 16, the H.C. Andersen Museum, MoMA (with AJDVIV), and Nike Sports Center, and have been awarded titles such as “Best Sports Building” (Milano Archmarathon Awards) and winners at the Barcelona Festival of Architecture (with Parabase).
The work of KOSMOS has been exhibited internationally at the Venice Architecture Biennale, Milano Triennale, Concentrico Festival, and the New York Institute of Architects, among other institutions.
