Slightly Tilted: Displacement, Irony, and Narrative
Language: English
Simultaneous Translation: French, Spanish, Catalan
Working from distinct cultural and geographic contexts, this session explores architecture as a practice of selection, displacement, and re-contextualization within an already built world. Kosmos Architects, Un Parell d’Arquitectes, and Infraestudio converge on a shared position: space emerges not only from designed form, but also from temporary infrastructures, informal logics, cultural residues, and inherited references. Their projects treat the everyday and its popular culture, as well as canonical references, alike as operative material. Scaffolding, municipal stockpiles, industrial by-products, vernacular assemblies, domestic rituals, and minor urban devices become the means through which form and meaning are negotiated.
