Solano Benítez

Solano Benítez is a Paraguayan architect and the founder of J0P01 D3 4R9U173C7UR4. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Universidad Nacional de Asunción (UNA) in 1986 and has led several collaborative initiatives throughout his professional career. Today, he practices through his studio, focusing on innovative, socially engaged, and sustainable architecture.

His work has received numerous awards and honors, including the Premio Década 89/99, Colegio de Arquitectos del Paraguay (1999), finalist for the Mies van der Rohe Award for Latin America (2000, Barcelona, Spain), the BSI Swiss Architectural Award (2008), “Arquitecto del Bicentenario” by the Asociación Paraguaya de Arquitectos (2011), Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (2012, USA), the León de Oro at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2016, Italy), Domus “100+ Best Architecture Firms” (2019, Italy), and the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture by UNESCO (2021, Paris, France).
