Stage 5
Working from different yet intersecting postcolonial contexts, this conversation reflects on how architecture engages questions of visibility, representation, and belonging rather than simply producing form. It considers how spatial knowledge is shaped by histories of measurement, mapping, and classification, and how these systems continue to influence who is seen, who is accommodated, and who remains marginal.
Attention shifts from objects to imaginaries: how narratives, images, rituals, and collective memory inform architectural thinking, and how design can act as a tool for reframing identity, civic presence, and cultural continuity without reproducing inherited hierarchies.
