The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Government of Catalonia leads forest policy in Catalonia. One of its objectives is to improve forest management in order to adapt Catalan forests to climate change.
To reduce the carbon footprint of the construction sector, it promotes the use of local timber. Its main aim is to work closely with architects to adapt current architectural designs to the types of locally available timber.
