The history of a place and its capacity to accommodate evolving uses become part of the palette of the project and its construction materials. Singular rehabilitation projects incorporate the built history of the structures themselves into the core narrative of the proposal, adding a new dimension to them.
These are not orthodox refurbishments for neutral uses, nor processes of museification. Rather, the itinerary explores a series of interventions shaped by their own past, now reinterpreted—without erasing it—through the lens of contemporary use, often radically different from the building’s original function. Anchored in this memory, these spaces succeed in transforming themselves into new agents that activate the urban fabric.
