Terms and Conditions
Specific terms and conditions of sale, participation and access to the official itineraries of the UIA 2026 Barcelona World Congress of Architects.
These specific terms and conditions (hereinafter, the Annex) supplement and form an integral part of the General Terms and Conditions of Ticket Sale and Access to the UIA 2026 Barcelona World Congress of Architects (hereinafter, the General Conditions) and shall apply to the official guided itineraries (hereinafter, the Itineraries) organised as part of the official Congress programme.
The purchase of a ticket for an Itinerary and/or participation therein implies the express, full and unreserved acceptance of the General Conditions and this Annex.
In the event of any inconsistency, the General Conditions shall prevail, except in those matters expressly regulated in this Annex.
In the event of any doubt regarding the interpretation of these specific terms and conditions, the Spanish version shall prevail over any version in another language.
1. Purpose and nature of the Itineraries
The official Congress Itineraries are guided cultural and educational activities consisting of visits to public and private buildings, urban, natural or industrial spaces, and architectural environments of interest, whether already built and/or undergoing refurbishment, organised as complementary activities to the official Congress programme.
The Itineraries are curated by AMOO STUDIO S.C.P. and organised by Circa Cultural Projects, both acting as undisclosed agents, without this implying any assumption of responsibility other than that established in the General Conditions by the Congress Organising Entity.
The Itineraries will take place between 25 June and 5 July 2026, at various locations throughout Catalonia, and may be conducted on foot, by bicycle, by coach or by sea vessel, depending on the specific route.
The information relating to each Itinerary is provided for information purposes only and may be subject to change for organisational, technical, safety, operational or force majeure reasons.
2. Access requirements and purchase process
The purchase of tickets for the Itineraries shall be limited to Users holding a valid and current ticket for the UIA 2026 Barcelona World Congress of Architects. Such Users may purchase tickets in their own name or on behalf of a third party, regardless of whether the latter holds a Congress ticket.
The purchase of a ticket grants exclusively the right to participate in the specific Itinerary purchased, on the date and at the time indicated at the moment of purchase, without entitlement to modification, substitution or access to other Itineraries.
Once the purchase process has been completed, the user will receive confirmation via the contact details provided. It shall be the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that all details entered are correct.
Tickets shall be subject to availability and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
3. Price and scope of the ticket
The ticket includes only those services expressly indicated in the Itinerary description, which may include the guided visit, transport where applicable, and a light complimentary refreshment. Accordingly, any items not expressly stated in the offer shall be deemed excluded.
The ticket does not include access to other Congress activities nor to more than one Itinerary. The Organising Entity reserves the right to modify prices, without affecting tickets already purchased.
4. Personal nature of tickets and access
Tickets for the Itineraries are personal and non-transferable and may only be used by the person whose name appears as the holder in the purchase process.
Participants must arrive at the starting point of the Itinerary at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to the scheduled time. Failure to arrive on time may result in the inability to join the Itinerary, without entitlement to a refund.
The stated duration of the Itineraries is approximate and may be subject to change for operational, safety or other reasons beyond the control of the Organising Entity.
The Organising Entity may request proof of identity to verify ticket ownership.
5. Code of conduct and right of exclusion
During the Itineraries, participants must follow the instructions of the responsible staff and behave respectfully towards other participants, organising staff, the buildings visited and the surrounding environment.
Any behaviour that:
- jeopardises one’s own safety or that of others
- causes damage to buildings, property or the environment
- interferes with the normal conduct of the Itinerary
- involves theft or damage to property or heritage
- breaches applicable laws or regulations
is strictly prohibited.
6. Liability, risks and insurance
Participation in the Itineraries implies acceptance of the conditions inherent to activities carried out in public and/or private spaces, which may involve travel on foot, by bicycle, by coach or by sea vessel.
Circa Cultural Projects shall take reasonable organisational and safety measures for the proper execution of the Itineraries and shall be liable except in cases of:
- negligent or reckless conduct by participants
- failure to follow instructions from responsible staff
- causes beyond its reasonable control, including acts of third parties
Transport services, bicycle hire or access to spaces managed by third parties shall be provided under the sole responsibility of the relevant entities. The Organising Entity shall hold the legally required public liability insurance, limited to liability arising from the organisation of the Itineraries.
Each participant shall be responsible for their conduct during the Itinerary and for any damage caused to third parties, visited buildings, means of transport or the environment.
Circa Cultural Projects shall hold the legally required public liability insurance, covering exclusively liability arising from the organisation of the Itineraries in accordance with applicable regulations, and shall also ensure that collaborating third parties hold the legally required liability insurance policies.
By purchasing a ticket, participants declare that they are in adequate physical and health condition and assume the inherent risks of the activity.
7. Right of withdrawal, changes and refunds
In accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation and as set out in the General Conditions of the Congress, the right of withdrawal shall not apply to the purchase of Itinerary tickets, as these relate to services with specific dates or periods of performance.
Accordingly, no changes, cancellations or refunds shall be permitted, except in cases expressly provided for under applicable law or the General Conditions.
8. Image rights and recording
Audiovisual recordings may be made during the Itineraries for informational, documentary, promotional or institutional purposes within the framework of the “International Union of Architects Congress”.
Participation in an Itinerary implies express, free-of-charge and indefinite authorisation for the capture, reproduction and dissemination of participants’ image and voice, in any medium or format, in accordance with the General Conditions.
9. Personal data protection
The processing of personal data shall be governed by the provisions set out in the General Conditions of the Congress and applicable data protection legislation.
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018, participants are informed that their personal data will be processed by CSCAE as Data Controller, for the purpose of managing their registration and participation in the selected Itineraries, as well as for related administrative and logistical management.
CIRCA CULTURAL PROJECTS SL, in its capacity as Data Processor, will use the data for the proper coordination and execution of on-site visits, list management, user assistance and similar purposes.
Data will not be disclosed to third parties except where required by law or where technically necessary for the provision of the service (for example, sharing data with visited venues).
Processing is based on the performance of the contract arising from ticket purchase. Data shall be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and to address any potential legal liabilities.
