Photography becomes a way to build records of the ordinary and, through them, a position on the city. In the work of Takashi Homma, and Maxime Delvaux, everyday spaces, minor infrastructures, edges, routines, and repeated scenes can describe a place more accurately than its landmarks, while sequencing, distance, and consistency turn observation into a form of urban writing. The common ground is methodological: staying close to what is already there, photographing change without spectacle, and letting an accumulation of ordinary images become a portrait and a diagnosis.
