Irene Pérez (Barcelona, 1976) and Jaume Mayol (Mallorca, 1976) graduated from the ETSA Vallès. They both direct the studio TEd’A arquitectes, based in Mallorca. Their work focuses on the use of local resources, materials, and typologies.

Their work has received multiple awards, including the Spanish Architecture Biennial BEAU XV (2021) and BEAU XIV (2018), the FAD International and Interior Awards (2018), and the Brick Award (2020). They have also been twice finalists of the Swiss Award (2020 and 2022). In 2025, they received the La Casa de la Arquitectura Award in the Innovation category, the BigMat Grand Prize in the Proximity category, the Holcim Award for Sustainable Construction (Europe), and were awarded in BEAU XVII.

Currently, Jaume is a professor at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio. Previously, they have taught at the University of Stuttgart, the Faculty of Architecture TU Graz, TU Munich, and the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, among others. They have also led workshops including Porto Academy (2017, Portugal) and Can Lis Fragments at the Royal Danish Academy (2022, Denmark).

TEd’A arquitectes have been invited as jurors and lecturers at numerous national and international universities, including Cornell University in Ithaca (NY), Harvard GSD, the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio, HEIA Fribourg (Switzerland), Lund University and KTH Stockholm (Sweden), TU Munich and UDK Berlin (Germany), as well as ETSA Barcelona and ETSA Madrid.
