 Stage 15

We live in cities shaped by complex mobility patterns, persistent urban fractures, and spaces that must accommodate new uses, all within an increasingly demanding environmental context.

Climate adaptation, urban discontinuities, mobility, the reuse of what already exists, and the flexibility of public facilities emerge as conditions that are transforming the way the project is understood. From this perspective, the session reflects on new ways of designing, based on relations, processes, multiple scales and simultaneous effects, while placing environmental, social, functional and territorial variables increasingly at the core of the project.

Speaker: Albert Gassull is an architect and director of Public Space at the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB).
