Public space, belonging to all of us, is where relationships are woven—today more than ever—allowing us to move away from digital dependency and return to a more human world, removed from screens and digital abstraction, one that supports our physical and mental well-being.

Even so, this pursuit of public space and its enhancement have been a constant since the Enlightenment: former confiscated convents transformed into squares, utopian plans for green blocks, or the reclaiming of spaces from the 1980s to the present day, that were once given over to cars.
This route proposes to explore the different strategies the city has adopted over decades, including recent proposals, in order to foster them and place citizens at the centre of the equation.

Remodelling of Passeig de Sant Joan Avenue (Phase 1)
