Jan De Vylder and Inge Vinck’s architecture is guided by economy of means, precision, and contained action. Through cuts, removals, displacements, and direct insertions, their work engages partial yet precise interventions, capable of keeping buildings, structures, and architectural situations open to change rather than fixing them into a final state. The keynote will examine a practice attentive to material, time, and built space: an architecture that preserves the legibility of layers, patina, the accidental, and a certain idea of beauty, while making room for new forms of use.
