Joint session of the UIA Architecture for All (AfA) Work Programme and AccessibleEU, streamed online, focused on presenting and discussing the importance of accessible and inclusive design.
Through international perspectives and case studies, the discussion will highlight how accessible and inclusive design contributes to quality of life, social participation, and more equitable and resilient built environments. The session aims to raise awareness among architects, urban planners and institutions about the importance of integrating accessibility as a fundamental component of design practice, moving beyond compliance towards a more people-centred and inclusive approach to the built environment.
