The UIA Public Health Work Programme Seminar explores architecture’s critical role in public health, wellbeing, and resilience across the full design continuum—from research and conception to construction, operation, adaptation, and regeneration.
In the context of climate instability, regional conflicts, demographic change, urbanisation, and rapid technological shifts, the seminar examines evidence-based, practice-informed, and technology-enabled approaches that place health at the centre of architectural decision-making. Through international case studies and thematic sessions on research, practice, projects, construction, and emerging technologies, the seminar advances global discourse, strengthens the UIA Public Health Group’s contribution to global health agendas, and fosters interdisciplinary, cross-regional collaboration among UIA Work Programmes and members sections.
