A relaxed route is proposed, beyond the conceptual framework of the Congress, yet aligned with its urban-maritime character, to explore the city and its challenges from the sea, through the popular Golondrinas boats—a nod to the tensions of tourism through an activity that became an emblem of leisure for the working classes walking down Las Ramblas since the late 19th century.

The route, running from the city centre to the Port of the Forum, catching sight of the Three Chimneys of Sant Adrià de Besòs, encourages reflection on the transformations of Barcelona’s coastline through urban, real estate, and landscape operations as a backdrop, where the beaches have become the city’s largest public urban park. Today, it is essential to rethink the maintenance and renaturalization of these beaches to address rising sea levels and ensure the resilience of these spaces, now inseparable from the local character.
