Natural and human-made disasters are increasingly reshaping the environments we inhabit, challenging how we design, build, and live, while also redefining what and how we remember.
From climate-driven extremes to conflicts and infrastructural failures, these events reveal the fragility of contemporary systems while calling for new forms of resilience. Addressing such complexity requires interdisciplinary approaches and shared knowledge across geographies and fields, capable of integrating reconstruction with practices of remembrance.
Within the framework of Becoming. Architecture for a Planet in Transition, the session invites participants to rethink resilience, adaptation, and the role of design in an era of uncertainty.
